Brighton chief executive Paul Barber insists that the Seagulls expect Graham Potter to be with the club for a long time to come, amid speculation linking him with Tottenham.
Potter is one of several managers who have been named as potential targets for Spurs as the north London club continue their search for Jose Mourinho's permanent successor, after he was sacked by Tottenham last month.
Former Spurs midfielder Ryan Mason is currently in interim charge at Tottenham, and could remain so until the end of the season as Daniel Levy assesses the club's options, having seen Julian Nagelsmann join Bayern Munich, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag sign a new contract with the Dutch side and Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers distance himself from the job.
Potter would fit the profile of manager that Tottenham are looking for, with Spurs keen to appoint a progressive, attack-minded boss who favours possession-based football, something Brighton have been widely praised for this season in the Premier League.
But Barber has confirmed that Brighton have had no contact from Spurs about Potter, adding that he does not expect any either with the Seagulls boss on a long-term contract and the Sussex-based side having no intention of letting him leave.
Speaking to The Argus, Barber said: "We have no desire whatsoever to lose Graham [Potter].
"Graham is very happy here. We are delighted with the work he is doing, the work that the staff around Graham are doing, so as far as we are concerned, there is absolutely no way that we would allow Graham to leave at this time.
"I don't think there is any interest on Graham's part either, I think he is very happy with what he is doing and we are delighted with what he is doing for us.
"I think over the last two seasons, people have seen the progress we have made in terms of the style of football and the quality of our performances against teams that have got substantially more expensively assembled squads than us and a very significant part of that is down to the work of Graham and his staff.
"So we are delighted with him and we expect him to be here for many years to come."
Other managers who have been linked with Spurs include former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, Belgium manager Roberto Martinez and experienced former RB Leipzig and Schalke boss Ralf Rangnick.
