Brighton, Chelsea or West Ham? Crystal Palace fans name their worst rivals and favourite foes

Rivalries aren't bound by geography and derbies don't have to be against nighbours. Just ask Crystal Palace fans and Brighton And Hove Albion supporters.

It may take more than an hour to drive from Selhurst Park to Falmer Stadium on a good day, covering over 45 miles from south London to the south coast, but that doesn't dim the intensity of the feud between the two clubs.

Nicknamed the A23 derby or M23 derby, it is one of the most curious grudge matches in English football.

But who do the Eagles most look forward to facing besides Brighton each season?

Last season, Crystal Palace fans actually named Chelsea and West Ham as bigger foes than Brighton.

The Seagulls came third ahead of Manchester United and Liverpool with Arsenal in sixth place on their leader board of disliked opponents.

When it came to supporters with no time for the Eagles, Brighton were top of the pile with Watford also less than keen on their Premier League opponents.

Following behind them, West Ham, Newcastle United and Bournemouth were the three other clubs in the top five with no time for Palace.

At the other end of the spectrum, fans of Cardiff City, Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers had warm feelings for the Eagles.
