Brighton boss Graham Potter gives Aaron Connolly injury update

Aaron Connolly is expected to sit out the action over the next fortnight for Brighton - including their next fixture against Manchester City on January 13.

Yesterday the Ireland international steered home his first goal for his club since September 20, opening the scoring against Wolves in a 3-3 thriller.

But striker Connolly limped out of the game as half-time approached with a hamstring injury, having just returned to the side after a groin injury forced him to miss Brighton's previous two matches against Arsenal and West Ham.

The Galwegian had hamstring issues earlier in the season, too, but Brighton boss Graham Potter predicts that his latest set-back will be brief.

"It is too early to say the extent of it but it would probably be a couple of weeks, I would have thought," said Potter.
