Brighton aim dig at Mohamed Salah and Liverpool with Marc Cucurella message

Brighton have aimed a playful dig at Liverpool and Mohamed Salah following Saturday’s match.

The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw in their Premier League clash at Anfield, surrendering a two-goal lead in the process.

Jordan Henderson opened the scoring early on for Jurgen Klopp’s side, before Sadio Mane headed Liverpool into a 2-0 lead.

However, Brighton responded with goals from Enock Mwepu and Leandro Trossard to see Liverpool record their fourth draw in 10 league matches this season.

Salah had the ball in the back of the net in the second half, but the goal was flagged for offside by the linesman and confirmed by VAR.

It was the first time that Salah has failed to score in a match for Liverpool since the win over Burnley at the end of August.

In a tweet following the game, Brighton made a post aiming a playful dig at Salah for failing to score.

Featuring a photo of left-back Marc Cucurella, with Salah’s face in the background, Brighton’s tweet read: “Emptied your pockets yet, @Cucurella3?”

Salah’s disallowed goal was his only shot on target in the game, helping contribute to just the three registered by the entire Liverpool team.
