Bright weekend weather forecast after 'wintry' end to the week

A bright weekend forecast can be expected in Liverpool after a "wintry" end to the week.

The Met Office has predicted that over the next few days the sun will be shining and people will be able to safely get outdoors to enjoy it.

This will come as a relief to anyone concerned by the weather on Friday evening when the skies turned grey and the start of the weekend became a washout.

It rained well into the early hours of the morning, was windy and noticeably colder than previous days.

But thankfully, as people get up on Saturday morning, the ground will be dry and the sun will be out.

Unfortunately, it's not all good news, with forecasters stating that some days over the next week will see some showers scattered throughout.

The Met Office said: "Saturday will be largely dry with sunny spells developing through the day. Becoming winder towards evening especially across northern parts. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

"Sunday will be windy with a few outbreaks of rain possible whilst Monday and Tuesday will be dry and sunny with light winds and feeling very warm."

It is expected to remain sunny and warm throughout the next week into another oncoming weekend so if you have plans to get outside, or to spend time in nature, now is the time to do it before it turns cold again.
