The family of a man who died in a crash in Derbyshire has paid tribute to the 'bright, enthusiastic and much-loved son and brother'.
Andrew Burr, 24, was driving his blue BMW 1 along the Woodhead Road in Derbyshire between 8pm and 9pm on Monday, August 17.
Police say his car 'left the road'.
Tragically Andrew, from Tintwistle in High Peak, was found dead. He was an apprentice engineer at Tulip in Dukinfield, Tameside.
A statement penned by Andrew’s loved ones read: “Andrew was a bright, enthusiastic soul and a much-loved son and brother.
“He was the person you would want there next to you if you had a problem and nothing was too much trouble for him.
“Andrew was very well-known in Tintwistle, as well as further afield, and had a wide circle of friends. We have been absolutely inundated with cards and messages from friends, people from his time at university and his job.
“It has been incredible to see how many people Andrew touched during his life and we are hugely thankful for everyone who has been in touch.”
An inquest into Andrew's death was opened last week at Chesterfield Coroner's Court heard.
The court heard the fatal collision happened on Woodhead Road, between the Woodhead reservoir in north Derbyshire and Holmfirth, Yorkshire.
The inquest heard Mr Burr was a promising engineer who had recently started an apprenticeship.
'Death by multiple injuries following a road traffic collision' was noted by the coroner as a provisional cause of death, DerbyshireLive reported.
The full inquest will take place at a later date.
Coroner Emma Serrano said: "The reason I am opening this inquest today and deferring it is so I can hear evidence and establish the facts.
"At this time, I would like to extend my condolences to the family."
