Bright days ahead as Merseyside weather forecast clears up

This morning is set to be another dull start with light rain showers, according to weather forecasters.

However the cloudy skies are set to clear into the afternoon, with longer spells of sunny weather expected. The Met Office reports the improving picture in the afternoon will lead to temperatures of up to 9C.

Into the evening there will be further clear skies, allowing the temperatures to drop. Patchy frost can then be expected overnight and into the morning, as the minimum temperature drops to 0C.

Into Thursday it will be a bright but frosty start. Throughout the day there will be plenty of sunshine which will continue into Friday.

Over the weekend it may turn milder with patchy rain on Saturday and Sunday though brighter spells are also expected to break through between some drizzle.

The BBC outlook for Friday to Sunday reads: "Friday is expected to be dry with areas of cloud interspersed with some bright spells. Saturday will start mostly cloudy but some brighter intervals will develop in the afternoon.

"Largely dry but the odd shower is possible in the morning. Sunday will see cloud increase and winds strengthen. A few patches of light rain will arrive later in the day."
