Couples who are planning their fairytale wedding at the Brig o’ Doon House Hotel will get a sneak peek into the current renovations being carried out.
Ayrshire Live can reveal that the owners, the RAD Hotel Group, has issued a special invite to those who’ll be saying ‘I do’ at the iconic wedding venue, restaurant and hotel.
Earlier in the week we brought you the news that the RAD Group had pledged to spent £2m on a major upgrade to the hotel, including;
* expanding the restaurant with a ‘wraparound’ feature to consolidate it into one space
* expanding the wedding venue with the addition of a new honeymoon suite with guest accommodation
* extending the pre-dinner drinks area towards the garden - with access to an outdoor balcony and to the gardens
* improved disabled access to all floors
* an additional 14 parking spaces at the nearby Kirkgate, to cater for wedding/bridal parties
We also told how a refurbishment of the hotel’s Grand Ballroom and Garden Lounge is “already underway” and been “received positively.”
Now love-struck couples will get a preview of how the refurbishment work is taking shape.
A message on the RAD Hotel Group’s social media page read: “Calling all Brig o’ Doon wedding couples.
“We are so excited to be revealing our renovations to you all very soon and have now sent your exclusive invitation to our ‘First-Look’ event where we will be revealing the Grand Ballroom in all its glory.
“If you have not received this postal invitation by the end of the week, please get in touch to ensure we have your most up-to-date address and to receive further details on this exclusive event. Not long to go.”
