BRIEF: Worker killed when air tank explodes

Feb. 03--A worker was killed when an air tank exploded while being tested at a factory in Carol Stream, fire officials said.

The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday at the Maac Machinery company at 590 Tower Blvd. in the west suburb, according to the Carol Stream Fire Department.

The worker was pronounced dead at the scene, the department said in a statement.

There was no major damage to the building, according to the statement.
