BRIEF: Worker hurt in North Side porch collapse

May 17--A worker was injured when a porch under construction in the North Center neighborhood collapsed Tuesday morning, fire officials said.

The worker was taken in serious condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center from the 2200 block of West Cullom Avenue before 11:30 a.m., according to the Chicago Fire Department's media office.
