Oct. 17--A Woodstock man was killed Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash in northwest suburban Marengo, officials said.
A passer-by called police shortly before 12:15 a.m. and reported a vehicle had left the road at Illinois Route 23 and Poplar Road, according to the McHenry County coroner's office.
The DeKalb County sheriff's police said the vehicle was northbound on Route 23 when it left the road and landed on its roof.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle and pronounced dead at 12:48 a.m., officials said. He was identified as Jason Learman, 45, of Woodstock.
An autopsy was scheduled for Monday, and the crash remains under investigation.
