BRIEF: Women's World Cup matchups for Saturday

June 19--TODAY'S GAMES

GERMANY VS. SWEDEN

Where: Ottawa. Time: 1 p.m. PDT. TV: FS1, Telemundo.

The buzz: Top-ranked Germany has scored a tournament-leading 15 goals, nearly half those coming from Ana Mittag (4) and Celia Sasic (3). But that has more to do with an easy group draw than anything else since the Germans beat Ivory Coast, 10-0, and Thailand, 4-0. Against their only quality opponent, Norway, the Germans struggled to a 1-1 draw. They'll need to step it up here against Pia Sundhage's fifth-ranked Sweden, which is looking for its first win after three draws.

CHINA VS. CAMEROON

Where: Edmonton. Time: 4:30 p.m. PDT. TV: FS1, NBC Universo.

The buzz: Just the second African team to make it out of group play in a World Cup, Cameroon appears on the verge of joining the sport's elite teams after a three-year ascent that has included it twice winning a medal in the African Championships while playing in its first Olympics and first World Cup. Cameroon won twice in group play here and now faces a young, rebuilding Chinese team that often struggles to score.
