Dec. 26--A mentally disabled woman who walked out of the Newman Family Group Home and failed to return earlier this week has been located, police said.
Meghan Cave, 30, left the group home in the 4500 block of West Wrightwood Avenue shortly after 9 a.m. Dec. 21. She was wearing a flower-print shirt, police said in an alert issued Friday afternoon. Cave was located, police said in an update issued Friday evening which included no details about how or where she was located.
Police said Cave has "a severe reduced mental capacity" and frequently goes missing.
She is described as a white woman with a light complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds, police said.
