April 02--A 27-year-old woman was stabbed to death in the South Shore neighborhood Wednesday night.
Police found the woman stabbed in the chest inside an apartment in the 6800 block of South Jeffery Boulevard about 11:55 p.m.
She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
Police said that the stabbing was domestic-related and that criminal charges were pending against a 58-year-old man as of early Thursday morning.
