BRIEF: Woman shot on Far South Side

Nov. 09--A 26-year-old woman was injured in a shooting Sunday evening on the Far South Side, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened at 6:24 p.m. at 107th Street and Indiana Avenue in the Roseland neighborhood, police said.

The woman was with several gang members when a male came out of an alley and began firing, striking the woman in the abdomen, police said. The shooter then fled west on foot, police said.

The woman was in serious condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
