Nov. 27--A woman was found fatally wounded early Thursday in an alley near her home after what appears to have been a domestic-related shooting in Gary, officials said.
According to the Lake County coroner's office, Kennette Oneal, 31, of the 1000 block of Matthews Street, was found shortly after 5 a.m. in an alley on the same block where she lives. Another woman was found shot in the backyard.
Oneal had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:20 a.m., officials said. Preliminary information said her death was a homicide.
