BRIEF: Woman says man pointed gun at her in ATM line in Arlington Heights

Oct. 01--Arlington Heights police are investigating a Monday night report that a man pointed a gun at a woman and demanded money while she was in her vehicle in the ATM lane at the Chase bank branch at 43 E. Golf Road.

"The offender announced a robbery and pointed a handgun at the woman," Arlington Heights Police Cmdr. Nathan Hayes said Tuesday. "We're now reviewing any available video surveillance to see if it can help with our investigation."

The offender took an undisclosed amount of money from the victim during the robbery, police said.

Police said the unknown offender is described as a male, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches, with a slim build, who was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with gray writing and a dark-colored bandanna.
