BRIEF: Woman missing from Hermosa neighborhood

Nov. 02--Police are asking for help in finding a 70-year-old woman who has gone missing from the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Carmen Torrez has been missing from the area of North and Kostner avenues since late Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Chicago Police Department.

Torrez, who walks with a limp, left her house and hasn't been seen or heard from since, according to the release.

Torrez was last seen wearing a dark coat, black pants and black shoes.

She is 5-foot-4 and weighs about 120 pounds. She has gray-white hair, brown eyes and a dark complexion, according to the release.

Anyone who finds Torrez should contact Area North detectives at 312-744-8200.
