Dec. 11--A woman was wounded in a drive-by shooting on the South Side on Wednesday, police said.
The 32-year-old was standing on a sidewalk around 5:30 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Western Avenue in the Marquette Park neighborhood when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
The woman was hit in the left calf and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where her condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
No one is in custody in connection with the shooting.
