BRIEF: Woman hospitalized after shots fired on Bishop Ford

Feb. 19--A woman was hospitalized after a shooting on the Bishop Ford Expressway late Wednesday, authorities said, and two men were being questioned in the case.

State police were still investigating early Thursday but said the shooting happened about 11 p.m. in the northbound lanes on I-94 near 111th Street and the Stony Island Avenue ramp.

A person driving in one car appeared to shoot at another car during a road rage incident, according to police.

A woman in the vehicle from which the shots were fired suffered minor cuts from glass broken in the gunfire.

The woman, whose age was not immediately available, was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where she was treated for her wounds. No one was hit by the gunfire.

Two men were being questioned early Thursday about the shooting, state police said.

The right lane of the inbound Bishop Ford and the ramp to South Stony Island were closed as authorities investigated. By 4:30 a.m., all lanes were reopened to traffic.
