BRIEF: Woman dies weeks after being struck by truck in Rogers Park

April 29--A 70-year-old woman died 20 days after she was struck by a truck as she attempted to cross a street in the Rogers Park neighborhood earlier this month, according to authorities.

Hajrija Rasidkadic of the 5200 block of North Kenmore Avenue died of multiple injuries after she was struck by truck, according to an autopsy conducted Thursday by the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The woman was struck on April 6 at 3:51 p.m. as she attempted to cross the street at Devon and Greenview Avenues, according to police.

A 43-year-old man who was driving the vehicle that struck the woman was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian and driving without a license.

The woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in grave condition and was later pronounced dead at Holy Family medical center on April 26 at 1:44 a.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
