July 15--A woman was pronounced dead after falling from a Streeterville high-rise building Wednesday morning, officials said.
The 29-year-old woman's name was not available pending notification of her family, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The incident occurred on the 400 block of East Illinois Street at 11:45 a.m., according to Chicago police.
The woman was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 12:16 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
An autopsy to determine the woman's cause and manner of death is scheduled for Thursday, according to the medical examiner's office.
