June 19--A woman has died after falling from the second story of a building in the Lincoln Park area, officials said.
Karlie Aubry, 23, was leaning over the balcony railing about 12:40 a.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of North Halsted Street in Chicago when she fell over and struck the ground, police said.
Aubry, of the 2800 block of North Orchard Street, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition. She was pronounced dead at 6:38 a.m. Friday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Police said the fall appeared to be accidental.
