Nov. 28--A suburban woman has died after a crash on the Dan Ryan early Saturday, authorities said.
About 12:30 a.m. she was in a passenger in a car that crashed into a wall on the inbound lanes of the expressway near 31st Street, according to Illinois State Police. She was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead just before 6 a.m.
The Cook County medical examiner's office identified her as Chalan Peterson, 29, of west suburban Bellwood.
State police said alcohol played a factor in the accident, and charges were pending against the driver. .
