BRIEF: Woman charged with stabbing sister over rent dispute

March 11--A woman stabbed her sister in the neck Saturday during an argument over rent in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

Felicia Townsel, 20, was charged with one felony count of aggravated domestic battery, according to police and court records.

Townsel's bail was set at $300,000 on Tuesday, and her next court date is scheduled for March 16, according to court records.

Townsel stabbed and critically injured her 22-year-old sister around 10:15 p.m. Saturday inside a residence in the 100 block of North Long Avenue, which is the same block on which Townsel lives, according to police.

The 22-year-old was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where she was listed in critical condition.
