May 06--A 42-year-old woman who was discovered beaten to death in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side in April has been identified, officials said.
Kimberly Schnackenberg was discovered in an alley in the 2000 block of west 51st Street about 1:20 a.m. on April 22, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Schnackenberg, who lived on the same block where she died, suffered multiple blunt force injuries to her head and was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:48 a.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
Police are conducting a homicide investigation, and the medical examiner's office ruled her death a homicide.
No other information was immediately available.
