BRIEF: Woman, 9-year-old boy struck by car in Bridgeport

May 03--A woman and a boy were hit by a car in the Bridgeport neighborhood Tuesday morning, according to police.

The 56-year-old woman and the 9-year-old boy were crossing 35th Street at Halsted about 7:35 a.m. when a northbound car making a left turn hit them, police said.

Both were taken to Stroger Hospital. The boy was listed in good condition and the woman was stable, police said.

James Dillon, 65, of Oak Forest, was cited with failing to exercise due caution for pedestrians in the roadway.
