March 13--A woman has died after she was struck by a vehicle Thursday night in suburban Des Plaines, authorities said.
The 68-year-old woman was walking just before 10 p.m. near Touhy Avenue and Wolf Road when she was struck by a vehicle, Des Plaines police said.
The woman was taken to Advocate Luthern General Hospital in Park Ridge where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver who struck the woman remained on the scene following the crash and was cooperative with police. No citations were issued to the driver, police said.
