BRIEF: Windshield cracked by Kyle Schwarber home run to be auctioned Friday

March 23--Kyle Schwarber's second-most famous home run (not the one that landed atop the Wrigley video board) will benefit a good cause Friday. The shot, which in February cracked Cubs fan Peter Gesler's windshield in Mesa, will be auctioned during the Cubs Wives Annual Charity Auction at Sloan Park.

The windshield, signed by Schwarber, sits in a display case built by Patrick Farrell of Safelite, which came to the rescue after the accident. Gesler said he and his wife donated the case "after my wife and I experienced this amazing flow of generosity from so many different sources."

All proceeds from the auction will go to Cubs Charities.
