BRIEF: Windshield broken by Cubs' Kyle Schwarber fetches $900

March 26--Chicago Cubs fans will have the opportunity to get a close-up look at the windshield Kyle Schwarber broke during batting practice in spring training last month.

That's because Beth Goldberg Heller, executive vice president of Harry Caray's Restaurant Group, bought the windshield with a winning bid of $900 during a charity auction conducted Friday by the Cubs' wives.

The windshield is expected to be displayed at the Chicago Sports Museum adjacent to Harry Caray's 7th Inning Stretch at Water Tower.

"It's perfect for the museum," Heller said.

The Cubs' Wives raised $15,000 in gross sales from the auction, with proceeds going toward Paz de Cristo Outreach Center in Mesa.
