Aug. 28--Three window-washers escaped a failed scaffolding platform at the Civic Opera House Friday afternoon, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The three were 16 floors up on the Opera House, 20 N. Wacker Drive, about 2:05 p.m. when the motorized platform malfunctioned.
All three made it inside the building through a window before fire crews arrived and were evaluated for injuries, according to the Chicago Fire Department. No one was hurt.
