BRIEF: Williams, Jenkins and Brock to speak at Ernie Bank's memorial service

Jan. 30--Former Cubs teammates Billy Williams, Fergie Jenkins and Lou Brock will be among the speakers at Ernie Banks' memorial service on Saturday morning at the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago.

Banks' twin sons, Jerry and Joey Banks, will also pay tribute at the service, along with John Rogers, a personal friend of Banks. Also offering rememberances of Mr. Cub will be Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts, Major League Baseball executive and former player Joe Torre, Governor Bruce Rauner, Mayor Rahn Emanuel, and Rev. Jesse Jackson.

After the service, the funeral procession will drive past Banks' statue in Daley Plaza before heading north on Lake Shore Drive to pass by Wrigley Field.

Due to the ongoing construction project at Wrigley, the Cubs are asking fans gathering near Wrigley to congregate near the Captain Morgan Club on Addison Street or on the west side of Clark Street from Addison to Waveland Avenues.

Banks' memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with coverage provided by WGN-Ch. 9, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
