BRIEF: White Sox shuffle bullpen to add Carlos Rodon, Jake Petricka

April 20--The White Sox officially added pitchers Carlos Rodon and Jake Petricka to their active roster Monday morning before the opener of a three-game series against the Indians at U.S. Cellular Field.

The Sox made room on their roster by placing right-hander Javy Guerra on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 13, with right shoulder inflammation and designating right-hander Kyle Drabek for assignment.

Rodon, the Sox's top-ranked prospect, received the call up from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday. The 22-year-old left-hander was 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA and 13 strikeouts over 10 innings pitched with Charlotte.

Petricka returns to the team after starting the season on the disabled list with a right forearm strain. The right-hander was 1-6 with a 2.96 ERA, 14 saves and 55 strikeouts in 67 appearances last season.

The Sox claimed Drabek off waivers at the end of spring training, and he posted a 5.06 ERA over three relief appearances this year. Guerra has pitched just 1 2/3 innings in three relief appearances this year. He allowed two hits and no runs in that time. He last pitched April 12.
