BRIEF: White Sox make eight roster moves

March 11--The White Sox made their first roster moves of the spring Friday, including optioning right-hander Chris Beck and outfielder Daniel Fields to Triple-A Charlotte.

The Sox also reassigned right-hander Colin Kleven, left-hander Will Lamb, catcher Omar Narvaez, right-hander Peter Tago, left-hander Nik Turley and right-hander Josh Wall to minor-league camp.

Beck, who is recovering from ulnar nerve transposition surgery in his right arm, has appeared in two Sox spring games this year. He gave up four earned runs on six hits with four walks over 3 1/3 innings.

Fields was a waivers claim from the Dodgers in the offseason and was 2-for-8 with an RBI in six spring games this year.
