BRIEF: Friday/Sunday's recap: White Sox 3, Royals 2

April 26--The White Sox beat the Royals 3-2 Sunday on a ninth-inning RBI single by Avisail Garcia to complete Friday night's suspended game (rain).

David Robertson (2-0) earned the win for the Sox, who beat the Royals for the first time this season.

Melky Cabrera sparked the winning rally with a two-out walk against Kelvin Herrera (0-1). He advanced to second on a wild pitch, and Jose Abreu was walked intentionally before Garcia dumped a single into left for his first career game-ending hit.

The White Sox and Royals picked up where they left off on Friday -- tied 2-2 in the ninth inning.

The Sox called up righthanded pitcher Scott Carroll to take the roster spot of reliever Matt Albers, who has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a fracture to his right pinky finger, suffered during the brawl Thursday night between the two ballclubs.

Reliever Daniel Webb was called up to be the 26th man in the regularly-scheduled game for the Sox.
