BRIEF: White Sox Game Day: Trail Blue Jays 5-0

May 26--TORONTO -- White Sox right-hander Hector Noesi fell in a 5-0 hole through the first two innings Monday night against the Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre. Chris Colabello hit a two-run single and Justin Smoak and Josh Donaldson each homered in the Blue Jays' outburst.

At the plate

The Sox managed three hits through five scoreless innings against Blue Jays right-hander Drew Hutchison.

On the mound

Noesi, in his first start since May 9, gave up five earned runs on five hits, walked three and struck out four over seven innings.

In the field

Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez attempted to turn a double play in the first inning but missed touching second base and only got one out in what turned into a four-run inning.

Key number

16 -- Days since Noesi made his last start, on May 9 against the Reds.

The quote

"The command stuff has always been the early issue for him. If he can get through that, have some command, you're hoping for six (innings), or get seven out of that, it would be great." -- Sox manager Robin Ventura on expectations for Noesi on Monday
