Saturday's recap: White Sox 4, Tigers 3

Oct. 04--Leury Garcia's walk-off single to left field gave the White Sox a 4-3 victory over the Tigers on Saturday night at U.S. Cellular Field. J.B. Shuck had a pinch-hit, RBI double to right field off reliever Neftali Feliz in the ninth to tie the game. James McCann briefly gave the Tigers the lead in the top of the ninth with an RBI double off Sox reliever Dan Jennings.

Turning point

Avisail Garcia led off the Sox ninth with a walk against Feliz before scoring the tying run.

At the plate

Adam Eaton singled, stole second and scored on Melky Cabrera's double in the first for his 98th run of the year. Alexei Ramirez also had an RBI double.

On the mound

Erik Johnson walked Anthony Gose and gave up a two-run homer to Miguel Cabrera in the sixth, the only runs he allowed over 61/3 innings.
