June 05--The Chicago White Sox return home Friday night from a four-city, 11-game road trip.
The slumping Detroit Tigers await them at U.S. Cellular Field, riding a 7-game losing streak.
The last-place White Sox should be looking at this series as an opportunity to make up ground on the third-place Tigers, and perhaps the Indians, who are just ahead of them by a game and a half in fourth place in the AL Central.
The Sox will be sending left-hander Jose Quintana (2-6, 4.33) against 23-year-old Tigers' lefty Kyle Ryan (1-0, 3.00).
The Sox finished their road trip at 5-6 after losing 2-1 to the Rangers Thursday in 11 innings.
