Aug. 19--White Sox left-hander John Danks will look to continue his strong second half Tuesday night against the Angels at Angel Stadium. Danks enters Tuesday's game 2-1 with a 2.75 ERA in six starts in the second half. He has given up one or no runs in four of those starts.
At the plate
Sox center fielder Adam Eaton will lead off, followed by first baseman Jose Abreu, left fielder Melky Cabrera, designated hitter Avisail Garcia, right fielder J.B. Shuck, shortstop Alexei Ramirez, second baseman Carlos Sanchez, catcher Tyler Flowers and third baseman Tyler Saladino.
On the mound
Danks enters with a 6-9 record and a 4.58 ERA. He faces Angels right-hander Garrett Richards, who was 11-9 with a 3.55 ERA.
Roster move
The Sox requested waivers for the purpose of unconditionally releasing utility man Emilio Bonifacio on Tuesday. The Sox had designated Bonifacio for assignment Sunday.
