BRIEF: White Sox Game Day: Chris Sale tries to continue hot streak

June 09--White Sox left-hander Chris Sale looks to continue his hot streak as the Sox host the Astros in the opener of a three-game series Monday at U.S. Cellular Field. Sale has had two straight scoreless outings of at least seven innings pitched and has struck out 10 or more in three straight contests.

At the plate

Sox center fielder Adam Eaton will lead off, followed by shortstop Alexei Ramirez, first baseman Jose Abreu, designated hitter Adam LaRoche, right fielder Avisail Garcia, left fielder Melky Cabrera, third baseman Gordon Beckham, catcher Tyler Flowers and second baseman Carlos Sanchez.

On the mound

Sale enters with a 5-2 record and a 3.27 ERA. He faces Astros right-hander Lance McCullers, who is 2-0 with a 1.88 ERA.

The quote

"I would like our offense to get consistent. We've got some guys we believe in. They have a nice little track record that we talk about it, but it's been inconsistent. I think it's something that once it clicks, it's going to be a better thing for us." -- Sox manager Robin Ventura on the offense
