BRIEF: White Sox Game Day: Carlos Rodon back on the mound

July 22--Left-hander Carlos Rodon makes his first start of the second half when the White Sox host the Cardinals in the opener of a two-game series at U.S. Cellular Field on Tuesday night. Rodon is 1-2 with a 5.61 ERA, 17 walks and 28 strikeouts over his last five starts.

At the plate

Sox center fielder Adam Eaton will lead off, followed by third baseman Tyler Saladino, first baseman Jose Abreu, left fielder Melky Cabrera, right fielder Avisail Garcia, designated hitter Adam LaRoche, shortstop Alexei Ramirez, catcher Geovany Soto and second baseman Carlos Sanchez.

On the mound

Rodon enters with a 3-2 record and a 3.80 ERA. He faces Cardinals right-hander Michael Wacha, who is 10-3 with a 2.93 ERA.

In the field

Soto makes just his second start of the second half instead of Tyler Flowers.
