BRIEF: White Sox Game Day: Big day for Carlos Sanchez, Carlos Rodon

May 16--OAKLAND, Calif. -- White Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon makes his second major-league start Friday night as the Sox begin a three-game series against the Athletics at O.co Coliseum. The Sox have won three straight series and captured their first series victory on the road by winning two of three against the Brewers earlier this week.

At the plate

Sox center fielder Adam Eaton will lead off, followed by left fielder Melky Cabrera, first baseman Jose Abreu, designated hitter Adam LaRoche, right fielder Avisail Garcia, third baseman Conor Gillaspie, shortstop Alexei Ramirez, catcher Geovany Soto and second baseman Carlos Sanchez.

On the mound

Rodon enters with a 1-0 record and a 2.92 ERA. He faces A's right-hander Jesse Hahn, who is 1-3 with a 4.73 ERA.

In the field

Sanchez joins the team from Triple-A Charlotte, replacing former starter Micah Johnson, who was sent back to Triple A on Thursday.
