BRIEF: White Sox bring back 2005 players to SoxFest for anniversary

Oct. 29--The Chicago White Sox will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the 2005 World Series championship team in January at SoxFest, and the organization released an initial list of players from that team who will attend the event.

Third baseman Joe Crede, pitchers Jose Contreras, Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez and Bobby Jenks, and outfielders Scott Podsednik and Aaron Rowand are among the players who are scheduled to appear at SoxFest from Jan. 23-25. The Sox plan to announce more former players at a later date.

The Sox already announced several current players slated to attend -- Jose Abreu, Adam Eaton, Tyler Flowers, Avisail Garcia, Conor Gillaspie, Jake Petricka, Jose Quintana and Alexei Ramirez.

SoxFest moves to the Chicago Hilton for the first year. Ticket package information can be found at whitesox.com/SoxFest.
