BRIEF: Where's the review of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'?

Dec. 15--The world premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was Monday night in Hollywood, and while thousands of A-listers saw and talked about the movie across all media, the official embargo for reviews is 12:01 a.m. Pacific time (2:01 a.m. Central) Wednesday. The first public screenings are set for Thursday evening across the country.

Movie studios typically set review embargoes for the day the movie opens in a market, but those embargoes have been mostly unenforceable since the Internet made instant and worldwide distribution possible to critics and anyone who has seen the movie.

According to entertainment trade site The Wrap, Disney and LucasFilm set screenings for movie critics in many major markets for Tuesday, with specific locations kept confidential until hours before the screening itself. Also, security has been increased, including the banning of cellphones.

Look for Michael Phillips' review of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" at 2:01 a.m. Wednesday.
