BRIEF: What should President Obama do on his visit to Cuba? We have some suggestions

March 20--President Obama will be the first U.S. chief executive to travel to Cuba since Calvin Coolidge, and during a two-day tour will address a large audience in Havana, watch a baseball game (Tampa Bay Rays versus the Cuban national team) and even dine at the Palace of the Revolution.

But will he sample the pastelitos de guayaba?

Those sinfully sweet guava pastries can be found all over Havana, and no visit to the city is complete without a taste.

That's the conclusion of Times staff writer Kate Linthicum and photographer Robert Gauthier, who roamed the city to offer up suggestions for activities not on the official itinerary. Obama will arrive in Cuba on Sunday evening and has a packed schedule. Still, as our video shows, it might behoove him to bring his dancing shoes.
