BRIEF: WGN host Justin Kaufmann buys town home for $650,000

Dec. 02--WGN-AM weekday evening host Justin Kaufmann and his wife, Julie, several months ago paid just over $650,000 for a three-bedroom, 2,400-square-foot town home on the Near West Side.

Kaufmann, 41, spent 21 years as a producer at WBEZ-FM before joining WGN earlier this year as an evening host.

Built in 1999, the three-story town home had been listed for $649,000. Features include two baths, a fireplace, hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings.

Kaufmann declined to comment on the purchase. He and his wife had previously owned a two-bedroom, 1,168-square-foot condo about a block away from their new place. They recently sold that condo for $343,000.
