BRIEF: West Englewood sisters, 10 and 11, reported missing

March 19--Police are looking for two sisters from the West Englewood neighborhood who went missing after trying to find their mother in Madison, Wis.

Emonie and Emaya Lowe, who are 10 and 11, respectively, left their home in the 6300 block of South Hoyne Avenue and went to school about 9:30 a.m. Friday but have not been seen since, according to an alert from Chicago police.

The Lowe girls may be trying to find their way to Madison, Wis., to visit their mother, police said.

Emaya was wearing a white winter hat, an olive-colored coat, navy blue pants and a green backpack. Emonie had a purple hat, an olive-colored coat, navy blue pants and backpack, police said.

They are both about 4-foot-11 and weigh 100 pounds. Emonie wears her black hair in braids, has a light complexion and has brown eyes.

Emaya also has brown eyes and black hair, but her complexion is dark, police said.

Anyone with information about them is asked to call Area South detectives at 312-747-8274 or 911.
