June 03--A 45-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run in West Englewood on Tuesday night.
About 9:15 p.m., the man was crossing the street in the 6400 block of South Ashland Avenue when he was struck by a dark-colored sedan, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.
The driver of the sedan fled the scene, and police found the vehicle parked and unoccupied in the 6500 block of South Laflin Street, Alfaro said.
Police are searching for the driver, and the department's Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
