BRIEF: Watch Stephen Colbert nominate Michael Jordan to the Supreme Court

April 29--Former Bulls guard Michael Jordan will have a new job soon if Stephen Colbert has his way.

Colbert poked fun at Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz picking former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina as his running mate, despite losses this week in multiple primaries, by announcing his own slate during Thursday's episode of "The Late Show."

Colbert chose former Pets.com CEO Julie Wainwright as his running mate, Jordan as his Supreme Court nominee, Harry Potter as his Secretary of State and the remaining Beatles for other cabinet positions.

"MJ wishes he could be here, but unfortunately we have never met and he doesn't know this is happening," Colbert said as he stood next to a cardboard cutout of Jordan.

"The Late Show" airs 10:35 p.m. weeknights on CBS.
