BRIEF: Watch Ronda Rousey slam Wilmette comedian in 'SNL' promo

Jan. 21--UFC fighter Ronda Rousey got close with Wilmette native Beck Bennett, but not in the way he wanted.

Rousey slams Bennett, a "Saturday Night Live" cast member, to the ground in a new promo for Rousey's "SNL" hosting gig this week.

In the clip, Bennett dons a wrestling singlet and an American flag cape as Rousey wears a red dress.

"You know, I'm a UFC fighter and not WWE. We actually fight and don't wear costumes," Rousey tells Bennett.

"Aww, man, well, can I at least try my Beck 'The Wreck' noggin lock on you?," Bennett asks before attempting a weak move. Rousey flips him to the ground and then flips her hair.

Bennett, who attended New Trier High School in Winnetka, stands up and exclaims, "Awesome. Awesome. Mom! Dad!"

Other "SNL" promos feature Bennett, 31, trying to romance Rousey, 28.

"SNL" airs on NBC at 10:30 p.m. Selena Gomez is set to be the musical guest Saturday.
